Are You Ready for the Trumpet Sound?

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

 15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

18 ¶ For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:

20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:

21 And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)

22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Be like the 5 wise virgins, keep the lamps burning and full of oil! Watching and waiting always keeping your soul right before the Lord! He is coming and very soon!

Stay in prayer dailey. Read & study God's Word. Keep your soul prosperous in Kingdom works....

Many souls are not yet ready, don't be one of them!

Repentance or Hiding at the Altar

Joab fled from Solomon's judgement to the altar of the Lord but ... one cannot hide at the altar!
Only true repentance will be acceptable at God's mercy seat! Run to the Lord in honesty and sincerity to find forgiveness.
Then no matter if you live or die ~ you will have eternal life through Christ.
Joab was not repentant, he only wanted to use the altar to prevent the King from having him killed. It did not work.
Today also, false pretense or lip service will not work.
Amen

Don't Judge?

There is a difference between judging and condemnation.

Stop telling folks that they can't judge you. It is not scriptural.

John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

What the scripture is telling us is that when you judge another, KNOW that you will be judged with the same measure you dish it out.

God’s Word tells us to know those that labor among us.

When you go to a store, a grocery store, a furniture store, any store; do you just pick up whatever you came to get, or do you check it out? Comparing prices, quality, even quantity available. Does it measure up to a specific standard that you are looking for?

The same applies in the Kingdom of God, what are you working toward. What is your focus? What are you looking for?

The same goes for who you hang around with, socialize with, etc. My Mom used to tell me that birds of a feather flock together. I usually got mad at her because I didn’t consider myself “like them” just because I was out with them. Yet, as long as I kept hanging out with them I ended up doing just what they did. I smoked pot because they did. I did not get a “buzz” I got hungry, then got sick. It did not appeal to me at all.

So don’t get upset when you are “judged” by who you surround yourself with. There are Godly friends/people that God will place in your life. Be like them, learn from them. Birds of a feather….flock together. If you want to be judged righteous, be righteous in God’s sight. Your own way will get you into a heap of trouble.

Understand that no matter how you try to hide. Someone is always watching, always judging you. How are you presenting to them? What is your life showing/proving to them? Are you a standard that others will want to follow? Is Christ evident in your life?

Somebody is watching, it may be your peers or your children or perhaps your sibling's children, or it could be your neighbor…. Keep focused on God not on who is watching or what they are thinking.

As I was growing up, I was always thinking the worst. Assuming the other person thought terrible thoughts of me. They don’t like me, on and on it went. I was condemning myself. Eventually, I found out that they thought no such thing about me. They did like me; I was just so anti-social that they did not know how to talk to me. I was so stuck in my own thoughts that I was unapproachable to others. If anyone spoke to me, I would duck my head, turn a bright red, and even tears in my eyes wanting to crawl in a hole and hide. All because of what I thought that they thought of me.

Now I must say abuse played a major role in that aspect of my life. That is another story all together. My point is that often we cause a rift between oneself and others by our own stinking thinking.

Don’t be afraid to be judged, just know that God will correct you, help you correct yourself too if necessary. Let others see how merciful God is when we humble ourselves to His will and way. Let them see the changes God makes in your life when we will let Him.

Now, don’t get in a hurry to make them/others know you… let God show them the real you. Um-hmmm. Just be yourself with God as your guide.

When God is truly in your heart, in spite of faults and failures, He will shine through! Don't condemn, that is God's job one day. Just judge righteously, picking the "fruit" that you want, so therefore you will be judged righteously.

Wars and Rumours of Wars - in the End Time

Mark 13:7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

Fear not, God will take care of His people.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper!!!!! Do not admit fear as a visitor, even. Because it will try to take up residence!

God is not the author of fear. He will give you peace, His peace that surpasses ALL understanding. Remain calm in the midst of every storm. Just trust in Him in every situation.  He will supply all of your needs.

We must believe and trust as Job did. Though God slay me YET I'll trust Him!

Amen.

What is it to you? Follow me...

Romans 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

John 21:20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?

21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

Too many are more concerned about what someone else is doing rather than securing their soul and works with God!

Be diligent ...

2Pe 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

 15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Common things

1Corinthians 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

6  Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

God said "Think it not strange...." speaking of the trials, temptations and tribulations that come our way. We may not understand it or the purpose for it but He knows our end from our beginning! Trust Him.

We may not go through the exact same things, yet, each of us face our daily obstacles - barriers even. Don't think you are the only one. Your trial may seem harder than others to you and theirs seems harder than yours to them. We ALL face the fire and what seems unbearable to you can and will make you stronger, wiser, and more powerful than you were before it happened.

That is why it is called FAITH - trusting and believing no matter what the circumstance or what it looks like. GOD WILL DO IT! Again and again when you/I believe!

Things that are common to man. One of the first and most prominent is death. We tend to forget that death will visit us all. This earthly body will not go to our eternal destination. Death comes at all ages. As long as we know our hearts and minds are righteous before God we have no fear. When God takes us/loved one it may be sad for a time but, remember where we/they (loved ones young and old) are going o live for eternity!

Many things common to man are devastating to the carnal mind. Be prepared, be ready as best you can for the things common to man. When your heart is right with God you have the ability to see beyond the devastation, see beyond the carnal mindset. Looking to the purpose of the LORD.

Romans 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Preparation

Matthew 25:1  Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

PREPARATION

Luke 10:38 ¶ Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Several years ago, I had a dream that I was one of many preparing food for a banquet (it was a spiritual banquet). I was chopping lettuce for the salad when I looked up and I was alone.  Wo i rushed to the banquet hall to see that everyone was laughing, talking, enjoying fellowship. They had already eaten and was just lanquishing around the table. I HAD MISSED THE BANQUET! My heart was sooo sad. I turned away in grief that I had missed the party while working for the banquet (Lord). Now isn't that about as bad as it gets?

Today, the Lord reminded me of that dream and reminded me of the scripture about Mary & Martha. One was taking care of the body (things of this life); the other was taking care of Jesus (spiritual things)..

I want to share an exerpt from Kim Potter's writingss.... In Joseph’s day there was a time of famine coming upon the land. The Lord had spoken it and there was no stopping what was coming. Yet, God gave Joseph divine insight on how to prepare. God gave the strategy needed to get through the coming season or one might say, the long journey ahead..The famine did come but were no effects of the famine for Joseph or his family.

Why? He listened to God and prepared for the bad days coming and the bad days didn’t affect him. That is God’s plan for us.

II believe God is shaking our nation. However, if we are IN CHRIST, filled with His Word and spending time with Him, that shaking does not have to rattle us. God gave Noah time to prepare. He gave Joseph time to prepare and I believe He has done the same thing for us.

In my dream that I meantioned earlier, I was shaken, rattled even though I was preparing for the event, I was not prepared; not watchful or doing the "needful thing". I was more oncerned with making sure there was enough for the satisfaction of the body. Had I not been so wrapped up in cutting that lettuce, I would have heard the call to the table! Preparation spiritually is most important on this journey we are on.
There is a big difference between  reading and STUDING scripture. We must study, obsorb the water of the Word of God like a sponge.

Prepare Your Harvest

Why do we question God?

Why do we wonder when is He going to do something for me?

We are entering the fall season of the year soon and harvest is almost done....

Did you plant anything? Were you able to pick fruits or vegetables or perhaps you raised livestock? How many chickens do you have that produce eggs?

Well, you can only harvest if you put in the effort to gain a harvest. You have to feed the chickens, give hay to the cattle, plant and weed the garden. Even, keeping the weeds out of the flower bed!

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?

No matter what your service or what you do for the Lord, there is always great reward. Yet, still so many of us fail to recognize the awesomeness of our Lord's gift to ua.

I am the first to say that I do not recognize some things until God reminds me of them.

For example, there was a time in my life that when I got close to anyone with a sniffle I would "catch" it. No matter what they had, flu, cold, cough, earache, virus..........you name it, I got it.

I got so bad that I did not want to go around people just in case they had something and just didn't know it yet. Honestly, I had way to many Dr. visits and paid out way too much in meds and office visits.

Now I can't tell you exactly when this changed I just know it has. Susan has been sick several times that I did not catch it. Sinusitis, bronchitis, ear infection, the list goes on. So, recently I realized that I have not been as cautious as we are told to do. I have worn a mask some, when I had to. I have sanitized my hands or washed them after major public adventures. The most I have had to deal with is a runny nose sometimes. I promise you that no one but God has kept me, protected me and blessed me - keeping me from the Coronavirus/Covid19.

He keeps me calm, no fear of the possibles. No anxiety over what might come. Just read the Word of God and you will know we are closer every day to the coming of the Lord! Signs of the time is everywhere.... even in the midst of todays chaos the peace that surpasses all understanding fills and surrounds God's people.

If I were living in the "used to" part of my life, I would have already battled it. BUT GOD!!!!! And no one but God can do this.

It is like when I tried to quit smoking on my own, I got sick, terriby sick until I smoked another one. But when God delivered me from cigarettes, I never got sick, had no withdrawals and there was no doubt that God did it! Now let me say that what God did for me, HE WILL DO FOR YOU...if only thou canst believe.

Mark 23  Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Prepare for your harvest. Recognize and praise the Lord for all He has done and will do. I am amazed at the goodness of God.

Stiffnecked People

 I awoke from sleep prophesying:

My people stop the bickering, complaining, murmuring and arguing. This comes to me as a stench in my nostrils. You rebel against the instructions of my servant. I instruct him in my ways and you ignore it. I talk to hm revealing what I want done then you disrespect my instructions.

If you are not going to follow these instructions then go your way. You cannot be a leader in my kingdom if you will not follow first.

I swallowed up thousands that would not listen and obey but constantly were rebellious and were not thankfully obedient.

God spoke the words Mount Horeb to me….so I looked it up.

Exodus 33:1  And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:

2 And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:

3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.

4 And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.

In many countries/tribes, “ornaments” tell who you are, where you are from, and/or what people/s you belong to. In this scripture the Israelites had to leave off their “ornaments” – who they were before God could or would deal with them. Today we must lose our self/self importance to allow God to be our all in all, our saviour! It is not who we are but who He is to us that matters most.

5 For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.

6 And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.

7 ¶ And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

They had to walk “through” something or someplace to get to the Tabernacle. What is your “walk through” today? Are you willing to go through to get to Jesus?

8 And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

Had they not been obedient and lay aside their ornaments (self) God would have passed judgement/consumed them. He also said in His Word…

Hebrews 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

 32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

Change is Continual (*or you are dead)

Life Is Short And Difficult…But It WILL Change

“Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not. If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee…”
Job 14:1-2, 14- 15
(scripture from Dr. Tim Pollock's writing, Author, is founder of Wisdom's Way Publications and is a Pastor in Lodi, California.)

Look at the rose bush, the flower garden - see how the flowers bud, bloom then die. If it is not pruned, flowers cut, or tended to it will not produce anymore flowers for that season or if it does, it still dies completely prematurely.
Also, metals in the refiner's fire have to be cooked/burned removing impurities or it is useless. But with the right refiner, proper temp, and watching for the exact timing before pulling the metal out it will be perfect!
So why would we think that we, as imperfect as we are, that we do not need any instruction, correction or trials to become what God designed us to be. No, God did not make you that corrupt fleshly person with a bad attitude or dirty mind! He created us to grow and follow Him and His example that He gave us when He walked this earth like you and me.

Life Is Short And Difficult…But It WILL Change

What and which changes are up to you. Follow Christ or follow corrupt flesh. The path of righteousness or the path of "it's my party. I will do what I want to and no one can stop me". For change is inevitable.

The answer is YES, if a man die he will live again. I am not talking about re-incarnation. I am talking about eternity. Where will your eternal home be?
While on this earth we must "die out" to the flesh and follow God by His Spirit!

Blessings friends! Make your calling and election sure! Know in whom you put your trust God or mammon.

Are You Covered?

Put the blood on the door post. To apply the blood to the doorpost today we must be praying earnestly. Study the Word. Don't perish for the lack of knowledge!

You cannot be roaming around outside the realm of God and expect Him to cover you.  We work, eat, sleep in this world for our physical body, but it is not where we dwell for our spiritual soul. Our soul eats, sleeps, and works in God's realm. So are you applying the blood to your door posts?

You and I have to apply the blood to be safe when the death angel comes by AND we must be inside of God's realm. Not living body and soul in the carnal (worldly, not living righteous and doing what pleases the flesh instead of what pleases God Almighty).

If you are not "inside" the blood on the door post is not covering you!

Ex 12:22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

Ex 12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
Ex 12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover.

Ex 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

Ro 8:1 ¶ There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Are you covered?

Accountability

Romans 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 ¶ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

Not by might, not by power but by my Spirit saith the Lord

Does not mean that we do not follow God’s law..
Means we do not follow the law of the letter that the Israelites had to: sacrifice to atone for sin.

We have the ultimate sacrifice in Jesus Christ for our sin, yet we still must follow God’s commandments. Which we will know by His Spirit if we learn of Him through His Word.

This scripture does not give us free reign to do what we will and still be saved. Not at all. The accountability is ours. “I did not know” will not stand on judgement day. AS God gives us ample opportunity to know Him and His Word.  Just because you were too lazy or just did not want to study is no excuse for not knowing God. To know Him and His ways we MUST study His Word!

Verse 6 spells it out righteously… now that we have the ultimate sacrifice and the Comforter (Spirt of God) with us, we walk in NEWNESS OF SPIRIT and not the oldness of the letter (Old Testament sacrifice) we (verse 7) do not walk in sin continually having to atone for it every year or six months. We have the atonement living within us that we don’t sin.

Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Romans 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

We are still bound to Jesus Christ, our atonement for sin, by obedience to His Word. All of it, with the exception of sacrificial atonement for there is NO greater sacrifice than Christ.  Nothing left for us to do other than OBEY God’s commandments – all of them.

Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

You/we are accountable for our actions, words and deeds! How you choose to live is how you will spend eternity. No pointing fingers, nor statements that “I did not know” will be accepted at the throne of God. It is too late to change it then. God does not accept excuses, just ask the person with the 1 talent that they hid instead of investing it.

Invest in Jesus Christ and His ways...learn of Him and how He works. He has your best interest at heart always.
Be Blessed my friends.

Hold Fast

Peter knew what it was to start out strong, faithful, and determined to follow Christ without wavering or looking to the side. He did not believe that he would EVER deny Christ; whom he loved so dearly!
And yet, He did.
Temptation, doubt, fear even caused him to do just that.

1Peter 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12  Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

As a child of God - sometimes the path is sweet and good. You think you won't falter for any reason. You are doing the works of your calling/ministry. God is using you to help others and it feels sooooo good! Ministering to them ministers to you.
Then comes the time of temptation, trial, and will of the flesh. Whether it be a need for prestige (Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think) or any other sin awaiting you to trip you up. It will not present itself as an ugly thing or evil. It will present itself through what you have always wanted in the carnal mind or wanted to do.
Still, with these things Christ was also tempted. He went through the tests that you face in your life. He simply wants us to know that we can overcome. We can defeat the evil one and  NO WEAPON FORMED ( and it will form ) AGAINST YOU WILL PROSPER! Don't trick yourself into thinking it won't.
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

The New Testament disciples were tempted and tried. Even Old Testament men and women of God were tested! Loneliness, need for money- perhaps you watched them drop that "dollar", or someone good looking of opposite sex may cross your path and BAM the opportunity to stumble is right there in front of you.
Maybe it is a sin of offense. Someone hurt you and you just don't want to get over it. You pray for their downfall. It just isn't fair for them to get away with it.
Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Do not suffer in sinful acts. The suffering God is referring to is trials, temptations, and fleshly desires/lusts. He is there to help us overcome by His might, His power through the Holy Ghost; the Comforter.
Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

The Process

Job did not unfailingly trust and believe that God would bring him through. He wanted to and always thought he would. Job had a heart after God.
Yet, no matter what Job said it did not move God. He was losing everything even his health. What is going on? Was probably a daily thought.
He listed his attributes, his accomplishments, his successes, yet, God did not want that. Job begged, cried, bargained, and then in Chapter 13 he humbles himself before his God, believing, trusting and humbly he states, “though God slay me. Yet I’ll trust Him”!
Again, later we find that his faith has grown weak and Job starts speaking doubtfully. It shows his concern that after all this time God has not delivered him.
How many of us have a thought cross our mind such as, “I have done all that I have been instructed to do, so why am I still sick or why am I still broke”? “Where are you God”?
Again and again Job’s words go from justifying himself to debasing himself; questioning God or praising Him. Imagine my puzzlement when I started reading about Job and everything I ever heard about this man was all good, he did not doubt, he trusted the Lord explicitly. I find he had questions!  Scripture tells us that even Job’s friend Elihu said this : Job 35:16 Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
Can you imagine the state of mind / turmoil this man was in? Most of us have only heard about the Job that trusted God impeccably without question. I don’t hear much preaching about the process it took to get Job there. And it is a process.
We do not instantly become righteous and humble. There are tests and trials that strengthen us or breaks us. If you are unwilling to go through the process, you will never overcome the temptations of this world. Job went through the refiner’s fire and came out of the process victorious and better than he was before, richer than before, with unfailing trust and faith in God!
I encourage you to read the book of Job. It may seem confusing at first. The back and forth with his family, friends and himself but, stick with it and you will find that there is a process.

I try and read at least one Old Testament book per week. Sometimes I succeed-sometimes I fail but I really do try. This past week I read the Book of Job. It’s not the first time I’ve read it-these …

Have a safe and Happy New Year 2019!

As we approach another new year, I encourage you to keep on the whole armour of God.

Many of us have loved ones that are on the path to destruction and don't even realise it. We must stay true to God, keep on the straight and narrow, & ALWAYS share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Be a  light to everyone around us. Actions speak louder than words my Mom used to say. People, especially our Kin, are watching to see if you are doing what you say. Looking to see if you practice what you preach. Stay true, faithful and follow the Word of God.

Make 2019 a more dedicated year of servitude to our Lord and King. Pray more often, witness every opportunity that presents itself, and worship even when no one is looking! Praise Him in your closet. Praise Him in your deepest  pain and troubles. Praise Him on the highest mountain top. Praise, Praise, and Praise some more! He is sooooo worthy.

Glory to God in the highest!

Merry Christmas 2018

Away in a Manger

Away in a manger, no crib for his bed,
the little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head.
The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay,
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,
but little Lord Jesus no crying he makes.
I love thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky,
And stay by my side until morning is nigh.

Just Who Am I?

There is an app, well more than one, that allows you to send your name to it and it will come back with a description of you and/or your character. I just read one that told a woman her name says that she is a force of nature armed with intelligence not to be messed with. This character reference was arrived at by sending in her name.
I started to send my name, but stopped immediately. The Holy Ghost quickened wintin me and the thought in my mind was that I don't want to be realized by a canned response to who I am or what I am. I WANT TO BE KNOWN BY WHO GOD SAYS I AM!

Man cannot know me the way God does. Man will judge and determine who I am by the outside appearance and sometimes what they see me do or not do. The machine can only determine who I am by what some person at some time put in it pertaining to certain aspects it gets from me. What I give it. BUT God sees me on the inside. Where my true character grows from. The part of ME that exists as I build upon what He put there when He created me as a baby in the womb.

I heard a guy once say in retaliation to a rebuke for what he was doing, "God made me this way". Not true. God did/does create us, a living, breathing, flesh. But God allows us to choose our path, our way, our character. We build us as we grow. How we turn out is not only influenced by what we choose to follow or not, but also, by how we choose to live, even the way we treat each other. We build our character; who we are is our creation within ourselves.

I don't want to use an app to tell me who I am, or what I am. I want God to help me mold myself into what He already knows I can be. I want to be known by others as they see God in me.
Pastor Perkins preached Sunday about how often a married couple will begin to look like each other. The longer they are together, the more they resemble each other.
I want to look like, to act like, and become the image(inside and out) of God who is the only one that can show or tell me just who I am!

Who am I acting like? Get in the presence of God! Stop acting like you have to invite Him into your presence, He is already there waiting for you to get in tune. To realize and recognize Him.

Dear God, I humbly ask that you forgive me of all sin. I ask that your sweet Holy Spirit guide me to be in your likeness and take on your character. Thank you God. Amen
