Christ’s name is very
important. And like many names in
history, spelling and interpretation from one language to another … it
sometimes changes or varies; yet it is still the same “person or personna”. Jesus per scripture was not referred to as Christ until AFTER He gave His life as sacrifice for you and me! Then He is referred to as Jesus Christ, Lord and King! At His birth He is named; Emmanuel
Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
He
is the Son of God, God with us.... Our Saviour, Lord, and King! Deliverer, Counselour,
Mighty God, Prince of Peace…God Jehovah is “The Lord is my Shepherd”….Jehovah Jireh - "God who sees" - my provider; Jehovah Nissi - my refuge; Jehovah Rapha - the Lord who heals; Jehovah Shalom - God of peace; and more.
The proper name Jesus /ˈdʒiːzəs/ used in the English language originates from the Latin form of the Greek name Ἰησοῦς (Iēsous), a rendition of the Hebrew Yeshua (ישוע), also having the variants Joshua or Jeshua. In a religious context the name refers to Jesus, the central figure of Christianity.
Report source I caution anyone to be very careful how they treat the name of Jesus. If you prefer to call Him Jeshua or Yeshua.. that is your choice... He is the same!
My son knows me by MOM, my Mother
knows me by Anna Marie (as do my family in other states) and my friends know me
by Anna (Spanish Ana). It is still ME. NO matter how you spell it ... still me.
Let's just praise Him and tell others about Him and His eternal Love!
