Believe What?

John 4:48 Jesus therefore said to him, "Unless you see signs and wonders, you will in no way believe."

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

The Lord speaks of belief through the witness of miracles, signs and wonders; healing, speaking in new tongues, deliverance from devils, etc. 

Believe What? 

Miracles? That miracles will happen? Believe in the healing? 

 John 10:38 But if I do them, though you don't believe me, believe the works; that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."

 John 11:27 She said to him, "Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Christ, God's Son, he who comes into the world."

John 13:19 From now on, I tell you before it happens, that when it happens, you may believe that I AM.

 1 Thessalonians 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again...

Jesus is not talking about signs and wonders follow them that believe the miracles, signs or wonders. He is talking about believing that He is Christ our savior, Son of God, lived in the flesh as a man. Died, then rose again victorious over death, hell, and the grave. 

That He is the Author and finisher of our faith. 

Too many are still looking for the signs, the miracles, the super natural to happen in their ministry. Stop looking for the super natural and start believing in the super natural creator! That was not God's intention for man to follow the signs or fake the signs. 

The signs and wonders are God's manifestation of His power and truth... that others will believe when we "go and tell" that Jesus Christ is Lord. 

So that the afflicted will come to Christ as their deliverer. That they will turn from their wickedness into the sweet arms of God to then go and share what God has done for them with another. An over-comer by the word of their testimony....

Believe what? In the Lord God...

 John 20:31 but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and him crucified for our sins, bore the stripes for our healing, and rose again that we might LIVE. 

 Hebrews 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.
