No Room In The Inn

Luke 2:
4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Many, many years ago - Jesus was born and lain in a manger because the inn keeper did not have room for him.

Today, Jesus is still looking for a place to reside and many of us are telling him there is no room in my life for you!
We are so wrapped up in our own plans for our life that we are missing the BEST plan for our lives...

We want the best for us. We want the best for our children. We want the best for our friends and neighbors, but we turn our back on the best of the best every day.
We have become so self centered and selfish, yet Jesus gave His all for you to be and have the best of everything.

I know a woman that rarely goes to church. Drinks alcoholic beverage, curses like a sailor and generally does whatever she pleases no matter the consequence. This same woman heard of an evangelist coming to town that she really likes. I heard her tell someone else that she was going to the revival to "get her's". This seems to be the general attitude of people today. I am going to get mine! Yet, they never consider what they can do for the Lord. They do not plan to live righteous or attempt to love Him.

This Christmas season I ask you to consider Jesus sacrifice for you as you celebrate His birth. Think of the love He has for you - that He gave his life that you might have life more abundantly. He is the only way through the pearly gates! You won't get to heaven by reading your Bible once. Having a Bible is good but it will not save you unless you apply the scriptures to your life. Then and only then will you have the BEST!

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year full of joy and love that only God can bring to you.
