The 2012 election is over and many are still arguing over it.
We must continue to seek the Lord God Almighty instead of slinging ridicule and verbal ugliness - poison to your heart and soul. I have never seen such bad attitudes and words from those that consider themselves Christian before. It seems that we are almost at the point of a civil war in this country and the last thing we should do as Christians is allow the enemy or the flesh to instigate hate in our hearts.
The Word of God tells us of certain things that will come to pass before the rapture. It is definitely a time to be prepared... prayed up, lamps full, and watchmen on the wall. Now, make no mistake, I too am prayerfully expecting God to make a way in this storm.
I am sure one of the disciples considered himself "doing the right thing" by drawing his sword to defend Jesus...Matthew 26:51 Behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and struck off his ear.
52 Then Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword will die by the sword.
53 Or do you think that I couldn't ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that it must be so?"
Yet, Jesus rebuked him for it. As we continue to preach and minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to this world... remember this -
He has a good end and purpose to all things. No it is not time to just give up and give in. That is not what I am saying. I am saying that we should pray before we speak to be sure that what we speak is from a good an pure heart full of God's sweet Holy Ghost.
The bitterness and conflict I see and hear daily is not the fruit of the Spirit that we are supposed to be living every day. It is so easy to get on the wrong pathway and you don't even realize you are on it. Pray for one another. Especially the leadership of this country, even if you didn't vote for them.
When you live a righteous life even your enemies can be at peace with you. Proverbs 16:7 When a man's ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
