Wits End

A father watched as the demon/s tormented his son. Wresting him about, causing him pain, and literally tearing his body.
We have heard people say, "at my wit's end".... this father was most likely at his wits end, Watching, yet unable to help his son. His heart breaking every time he tore himself, beat himself, or possibly even biting hmself. Unable to stop the torment day and night. Oh, how I can imagine the hopelessness of such a situation for a parent. Not only did the evil torment the child, the parent.s were tormented also. Every day. Every hour, every second of the day or night. Seemingly to be no end in sight. How many of you have been there in one way or another?
Perhaps you have a loved one on drugs, alcohol or some other addiction. Addictions don't care if you are rich, poor, ugly or pretty, short or tall... when a person is affected by addiction (yourself or a loved one) there seems to be no end in sight.  Hopelessness becomes a constant, frustration and anger is next in line. BUT THERE IS HOPE! His name is Jesus.

  Mark 9:17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
23  Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

Christ gives us hope. Hope of deliverance, hope of salvation, hope of eternal life. Also, hope to live on earth without fatal thoughts and emotions.
Although, Christ does no longer walk the earth as a man, He is still with us and gives us the knowledge of how to be effective in His works. Yes, healing, deliverance and power over all the enemy is still in effect today just as it was in days before.
Jesus said "these" kind come out by PRAYER AND FASTING; which is the equivalent of OBEDIENCE AND DISCIPLINE.
Every officer in the military that has ever fought in a battle will tell you that these are detrimental to any battle outcome. Even when fighting a mental or spiritual battle there has to be physical and spiritual training. Which comes from disciplines. It takes it to stand in the face of adversity!
Here is a post from a friend that I want to share with you:
The pain, the hurt, the stress, and the sorrows of life can grind on you without mercy.
You may be at a point in your life that you just don’t want to go on anymore. You may be depressed, discouraged, feeling hopeless and ready to give up!
In the darkest time of your life, The Power Of God can pick you up and turn your situation completely around! Don’t give up! Your God is more than able and willing to get you through absolutely anything you are are going through!
“Having done all to stand, STAND” Stand in faith! Stand on His promises! Stand on His Word! Stand in praise and worship! Stand on The Solid Rock! Your victory is in your standing!

Don't think there is no hope. Don't allow despair to overtake you. Lean on Jesus Christ and His Word .. that all things are possible through Him. Pray, Fast. Believe....
When you can't do it allone, God is there and will send someone to help you.
Believers, don't give up on that loved one. Believers, don't give up on yourself. Believers! seriously, don't give up on God. He will never let you down.

Prayer & fasting = preparatioin for the battle/s ahead.
