Today, while driving, I began to think about the fact that I haven't been pastoring for some months now because of my health and the lack of help for the vision. In the midst of my thinking, I thought about the big beautiful building we were in and the favor YAH gave me with the owner and to get things done, and I felt a sense of loss...
Next thing I know, I was beating myself up and feeling as if I had failed... maybe I should have done things differently... maybe I trusted the wrong people, especially since many who promised that they would help never did...
As I began to feel even sadder, THE LORD spoke to me and said:
YOU DID WHAT I SENT YOU TO DO.
ME: BUT LORD, I DIDN'T FINISH...I DIDN'T EVEN GET STARTED GOOD.frown emoticon
THEN THE LORD SAID: SOMETIMES YOU GO INTO AN ASSIGNMENT AUTOMATICALLY THINKING THAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO REAP...
I DIDN'T SEND YOU THERE TO REAP, I SENT YOU THERE TO TILL THE GROUND AND MAKE IT CONDUCIVE FOR WHAT I AM GOING TO PLANT. THE GROUND WAS HARD AND HAD NO SUBSTANCE TO SUSTAIN FUTURE WORK, THAT'S WHY YOU WERE SENT...
AND THOSE WHO DIDN'T HELP, WEREN'T NEEDED FOR THEY WOULD HAVE RECONTAMINATED THE GROUND THAT I PREPARED...
SO YOU SEE, YOU WERE SUCCESSFUL IN WHAT YOU WERE SENT TO DO, NOT IN WHAT YOU AND OTHERS THOUGHT YOU WERE SENT TO DO. YOUR WAYS ARE NOT MY WAYS, NEITHER ARE YOUR THOUGHTS MY THOUGHTS.
*Who is this for today? Stop beating yourself up and keep going forward! None of us have arrived... ALL THINGS ARE WORKING TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE THE LORD AND ARE THE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE. LET US GO INTO EVERY ASSIGNMENT KNOWING AND REMEMBERING OUR PURPOSE.
