Nothing Missing..

James 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

I don’t always wear my seat belt, I don’t like them and as big as I am they are terribly uncomfortable. The one in my vehicle is big enough but the driver side belt buckle goes off down into this sleeve like thing and is almost impossible to get it out so I have left it in there. And, often when I ride with someone else they just are not long enough.

There are times I have the unction to put the seat belt on and usually when I do it is evident why in just a few minutes.  Either an accident, a police car pulls up beside me or a road block is in front of me.

Remember what I previously told you about my seat belt? I can only pull it across me and it LOOKS LIKE I have my seat belt on. It is not properly secured. I am not safely in compliance with the law; un-protected. Therefore, I am not secure.

Today, God spoke to me about that seatbelt. Too many times we call ourselves Christians and still we have missing pieces and are not safe.

How many times in our lives have we wondered why things just go so terribly wrong? Is it because we are not compliant with God’s Word? We are not safely in His loving arms because we just don’t think He will hold it against us? Are we just pulling the Word over us like a blanket so we can just get by? Are we only going to church or Bible study to make it look like we are doing the right thing? Is your Spiritual belt buckle somewhere difficult to get to so you just leave it there?

God said “My yoke is easy and my burden is light” – He did not say we would not have a yoke or a burden. By the very definition of those words we know there will be struggles in this life. Still, in the midst of calamity you know everything will be alright when you have your Spiritual seat belt on.
The whole armor of God, with not one piece missing is where safety is. The Word is our guide as to how to be safe in Christ Jesus.

Now I know I have to repair that sleeve so the buckle don’t go past the opening and my seatbelt is always available. Problem solved.  I don’t need to continue to put it off. The Lord has been good to me in warning me in that matter but for how long?

“He knows I have issues!” Are too often used as an excuse, today is the day of salvation!

James 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
