Lord of ALL?

Excerpt from A New Thing Ministries...
A message so important to share with you!

The word Lord means; He to whom a person or thing belongs to, One who has the power of deciding, Master, Owner, One who has complete control over a person.

I had to search my heart and ask myself some tough questions. I asked myself if Jesus was really Lord of my life concerning my home, if He is then He has complete control and say over everything that happens in my home. He would then have control over what is spoken in my home, what happens in my home, what is on my television - if He is really Lord of my home, He alone decides.

I asked myself if He is really Lord over my mouth? Is He the one who controls the words that come out of my mouth all the time? If He is Lord over my mouth then I won't be involved in slander, or gossip, or foul language - if He is Lord of my mouth, only things that are fruitful and true will come out of it.

Is He Lord of my money? Is He the Master over my tithe? Is He the one who gets to decide when I give and what I give? If He is Lord of my finances, then He has full and complete control over my finances.

Is He Lord of my body? Is He the one whom I choose to please with what I put in my body? Is He the one who gets to decide if I eat well and exercise? Is He the one who gets to decide that my body is holy and set apart unto Him?

You see, friends, if He is Lord, if He really is Lord then He decides everything. He decides what goes on in your life, what comes out of your mouth, what goes in your ears, what takes place in your home, how you treat your spouse, what you do with your money, and everything else in between.

The only thing I ask you today is; is Jesus your Lord? Is He really? If there is any area of your life that you are in control of, if so, then you have become lord of your own life - there is no blessing there - the blessings is there when and where Jesus is Lord of your life.

It is true that Jesus is our Savior, He is our Redeemer... and He is our LORD. Make certain that He is Lord of your life today and everyday.

I want to say to you all that say, "God made me this way", no He didn't. He is our creator, you cultivate your activities, attitude and way of life. He wants to guide you if you will let Him but mostly "we" don't. We want to do things our way; like Elvis' famous song "I Did It My Way". We are so busy doing it our way that we don't allow ourselves to listen or hear God's Word telling us the right way to do things. The right way to treat each other, the right way to be holy, the right way to live our lives. And, want to cop out with "God made me this way?"

NO HE DIDN'T.

He did NOT make you want to bad mouth that person, church or congregation.
He did NOT make you want to kill someone because you did not like what they did or said.
He did NOT make you disrespect your parent/s, pastor or church.
He did NOT make you selfish.
He did NOT make you have unnatural affections for the same sex.

YOU DID.
You cultivated that attitude. You grew that garden of discontent. You planted those seeds of destruction. NOW, Jesus will take it all away if you will listen and conform to His teaching and His way! He will forgive you and make you the way He intended for you to be in the first place. Repent and receive what God has for you today.
