I awoke this morning from a dream...I want to share it with you.

In this dream I was astounded by the rotting vegetables in the garden. It had been all grown up with weeds and no one cleaning it up. The more weeds that were removed, the more the plants filled with green, almost ripe and ripe harvest were exposed.

Huge tomatoes and pumpkins in this extremely large garden. There were many other types of vegetables planted here. But, most prominent in the dream were the pumpkins and tomatoes. One person had a mountain of tommy toes tomatoes in front of him. Another was preparing to fry some green tomatoes. As I looked on there were so many vegetables being harvested.
I picked a vegetable with a long stem still attached that wasn't quite ready yet so I replanted it away from the weeds for it to continue to grow and ripen. Then I went around this tree at the start of the garden and there were plants as far as the eye could see.

ABUNDANCE....as much as was needed. The "fruit of the field" was in abundance. As I looked - I thought how that usually the harvest stopped at some point and was amazed that in spite of the weeds and vegetation - the harvest continued (Ps 83:2-4). Weeds will choke out other plants. They take all the nutrients from the soil and leave nothing for the other plants to thrive on. Although, the vegetables in the dream were like the woman and her cruise of oil (I Kings 17:16)...they continued to replenish.

God promised an abundance, provision for His people. When others are in need, God's people will have plenty. But, Joseph didn't plan for just his four and no more. He harvested the provisions for all in the land he resided and God's people too. (Genesis 41:49; 55-57 )

Yet, neglect has caused too much of the harvest to be wasted. Lying on the ground rottening and useless. Large sweet tomatoes filled the area around the plants - too rotten to salvage. The spoilage was immense.

Joel 1:11 Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished.

Mathew 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

John 4:35 .....Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

Revelation 14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

Merry Christmas
to you & a
Happy New Year!

Make your resolution for 2010 to do more for God than you have ever done before. Think more of what you can do for others than what others can do for you.
