Attitude Check

 1Timothy 2:9  In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

What is the difference between the woman sitting on the front pew spread eagle for a few people on the platform to see and you in the equivalent of bra and panties (bikini - two piece bathing suit) on the beach for everyone to see you? NOTHING
Yet, in the church you ridicule and talk about that person showing herself to a few while you put it out there for everyone.

What is the difference in a skin tight hugging dress and woman wearing skin tight jeans/shorts? NOTHING
The "crack/s" are  still in view. If you vacuum wrap something.....the covering molds to the item completely. The same goes for men when they wear their pants form hugging. It leaves nothing to the imagination. Bulges and cracks in full view.

Modesty is about attitude also... it is a persons attitude toward sexuality that has created this desire to expose ones self. Even if you don't consider yourself being exposed. You point fingers at others when you are in reality doing the same things. I have observed women in church more than once with their loose slinky dress in their crack as they stand. If they had underwear on instead of a string then the dress could not slide into the crack that way for the men and women these days to have full view of their buttocks.

Men - would you stand in front of Jesus without your shirt on? If the answer is no, then why do you go without your shirt in front of me? Your six pack or lack thereof is evident with your shirt on too.

We often think we are pretty in those loose perhaps even long shorts yet when we sit down and cross our legs "China" is exposed. When are we going to BE the example God called us to be?

We say attitude is everyting, we teach and preach it, yet we are not putting our attitude in check. And will not listen to anyone regarding these topics. Attitude - don't you dare judge me! The Word does say "judge not" but it does not stop there. Finish the scripture...read the next verse.
Matthew 7:1  Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Here it clearly shows that when we judge we will be judged for our attitude/actions/inactions... then God says:
2Chronicles 19:6 And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.

Before we can be considered a follower of Christ, a Christian - a light to a lost world, we HAVE to check our attitude and stop deceiving our own self in what we do! For we will answer to God  -the ultimate judge of our life one day. Are you willing to take the chance that maybe you are not right?

We say "we catch them and God will clean them". If this is true then why did God tell the elder to teach the younger? When the elder is doing wrong then they are building on sinking sand. When we are doing the same things the "world" is then why would they want to change? Change what, change to what? We are doing the same thing they do. Wear what they wear, gossip like they do, talk like they do, and walk the same as "them". Even worldly people can love one another. We still, in arrogance point fingers at "them" and say we want to convert them to Christ yet we are not "Christ like" either.
2Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
separate = to make a distinction between; to set aside for a special purpose;to sever an association

Attitude...

A lady that I considered a dear friend was talking to some others at a birthday party I attended. I always thought this woman to be kind and friendly at one time. Yet, that day I saw there had been a change in her attitude. She had drank the Kool-aid if you will. It really hurt my heart to hear her say, "I am glad "Tom" is not here! He is embarrasing" while she had a mouthful of food chomping away with her mouth open. Smacking even! "Tom" did play a lot and likes to cut up but who was embarrasing at that moment I thought to myself as she cast stones at "Tom"?

Attitude!

Dear Lord, help me to see me. Show me the error of my ways as I hide thy Word in my heart so I WON'T sin against you. For my attitude can hurt me more than any other. Thank you, Lord for you love. Amen.

Stiffnecked People
