A wolf in sheep's clothing is still a wolf!
This scripture comes to mind :
Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
The world curses and we preach to them. We curse and it is okay? The only difference between "oh, sh**" and "oh, cr*p" is the spelling. It is said with the same attitude and means the same thing so where is the difference? An expletive is still an expletive no matter who says it or how it is spelled.
We tell ourselves that one sounds bad while the other is okay. Why? Because we are taught the one is bad - general consensus says it is bad. But in reality they are equally bad when used in an equal environment and manner.
I have watched a dedicated Man of God as he was influenced by someone he loved. I never heard such words come out of his mouth until this woman came along and she used "cr*p" extensively. Then he began using the "cuss word" that is not a cuss word in most people's mind.
Those little things that we tend to overlook can come back to bite us one day. It can lead to losing our rights to the Promised Land.
Song of Solomon 2:15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
The first risings of sinful thoughts and desires, the beginnings of trifling pursuits which waste the time, trifling visits, small departures from truth, whatever would admit some conformity to the world; all these, and many more, are little foxes which must be removed. This is a charge to believers to mortify their sinful appetites and passions, which are as little foxes, that destroy their graces and comforts, and crush good beginnings.
Father, forgive us.
