"Anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, but only empties today of its strength." ...Charles Spurgeon
Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
1Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Worry is a wasteful emotion. Although we do not need to pretend that all is well when we don't have a job and expect someone else to pay our way.
We do not need to worry when the funds have not met the need for God will not see His seed begging bread!
We do not need to worry when the funds have not met the need for God will not see His seed begging bread!
Too often I have seen people demand that the church pay their bills just because they think it is their right. And if you don't give them what they ask for they will preach to you about how bad a Christian you are.
God said a man that does not PROVIDE for his family is worse that an infidel. This day and time - in our society - the same can be said for the women. If you are "grown" enough to have a child/children then you are responsible for their food, housing, clothing, etc. Don't play around and then expect Christians to hand out to you because you don't want to work.
Yet, God does provide for those that help themselves. Often in most people's lives there comes a time that the road don't meet the highway. There just is not enough. Have faith, cast your care on Him and He will provide for you.
Don't worry about things you cannot do anything about anyway. Worry is the tool to distract you from what you CAN do for the Lord and your fellow man. Worry keeps you bound up and unable to progress each day. What are you worrying about? Ask yourself, "What can I do about this situation?" If the answer is "nothing" or "the situation has not happened yet" then decide to replace worry with praise. Praise the one who can do something about it. Praise the one who can prevent "it" happening. Praise the one who deserves all your praise and then ask Him, "what can I do for you Lord?"
